3 day trip to Phuket from Bangkok. Airline & Rental cars recommends

Featured Replies

Urgent information needed. We live in Thailand and we normally drive or go by train. However 3 of us need to spend 3 days in Phuket, Thursday - Sunday this week and we want to avoid the worst domestic airlines & of course car rental scams. Thinking of Bangkok airways & was thinking of using a big International car rental co but Budget are in Phuket town. I guess they could meet me with a car at the airport but any advice appreciated, particularly "don't use" advice. I am getting onto this late but exact dates only confirmed this morning. We live closer to Suvarnabhumi than Don Muang if that is helpful. We are not after absolute cheapest fares & rentals. Just good value & no dramas.

Obviously advice needed ASAP.

Nok is a good choice if u don't want fly air asia

cheaper than Bangkok air

also check and see if Thai has a special on.

Be prepared to be wet and no blue skies :-)

Last week me and wife take the fly from Phuket to Bangkok and back, Price from Thai Air 2 people 18,100 Bath Bangkok Air 6,900 Bath. From Phuket 07.00 and back to Phuket 17.00.

A decent place to research car rentals is the links at the top of the Thaivisa forum. Pretty good aggregator of fares.

OK All done now. Thanks for the help. Booked with Bangkok Airways because they use Swampy not Don Muang & allow 20kg. NOK uses D.M & allows 15kg, but would have been cheaper.

Thai visa rentals said "We're sorry, but the companies we work with in Phuket Airport don't have any cars available." However all the companies did have cars available/. We booked Hertz. Clearest pricing & other reasons.

Have a nice trip wai2.gif
