Schools Open Tomorrow?

Featured Replies

A Thai friend of mine reports that many institutions are temporarily closed tomorrow, but I have not heard for sure if public schools, universities, etc. are open or not. If anyone gets any reliable information on this, please report here.

Um, according to our, ahem, interim authorities' announcement on all television stations just now, tomorrow should be a public holiday with schools, banks, stock market, and other public institutions closed.

ok, thanks for that update Steven :o

I'm so glad I bought my ticket home today. And I'm sure some students must be sooo glad there was a coup, because it's final exam week :o Lucky b*stards. I never had such luck when I was a student.

Yeah, they've now got some extra time at my school... Kind of hurts the teachers who were planning on taking off right after exams, though (not me, fortunately).

So, does anyone know anything officially about tomorrow? A friend of mine seems to think this could take until the weekend to calm down.

Early signs seem to indicate that tomorrow will be a "normal" school day.

Will post more here as I get word.
