I got a double-entry tourist visa from Laos two months ago and wish to apply for a months extension this week. After another month I will leave and trigger the second entry.

As I live in Mae Sot I wish to use the Immigration Dept here for the 1 month extension. Does anyone have any recent experience of renewal in Mae Sot and if so could they just explain the process? Is it a question of filling out a form or do they just look at the entry and stamp it on production of the BHT 1.900?

You will need a completed TM7 form with an attached 4cm X 6cm photo attached. Download and print 2 sided: http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm7.pdf

You will need copies of your passport photo page, visa, entry/permitted to stay stamp and TM6 departure card.

Be sure you do the 2nd entry on or before the enter before date on your visa.

Ah, they use the TM7. Makes sense.

My "enter before date" is 26th Aug. so if I get an extension on 23rd July to 23rd Aug should give me a couple of days to re-enter.
