Muzarella Posted July 26, 2015 Share Posted July 26, 2015 Phayao region is not bad at all, but around the Puchifa Mountains, between Chiang Kong and Chiang Mai on Chiang Rai province is not so hot in Summer, and is very cold in Winter. In hot season its a ruddy furnace oh yeah it is! was there a few months back and it was hitting 40-42 though it does have a cool season. i have friend who spent a few years riding around thailand trying to find the coolest place he could live he ended up near phu rua 40 or so ks from loei, says it rarely gets hotter than 28.
