Hello All,

I am currently in Hua Hin on holiday with my 6 month old son, I have screwed up on my tourist 30 day stamp and though it ended Wednesday so I was going to get the 15 day extension Tuesday...

I have checked my passport today and shockingly relised my tourist stamp finishes the 26th (Sunday - Tomorrow)

So if I went on Monday to get my 15 day extension I would already be technically over stayed by 1 day,... does anyone know my options? I assume nothing is open tomorrow on a Sunday, I also assume they will not grant me the 15 day extension given I will already be on a 1 day overstay by then?

Thanks in advance for any replies

You should be ok to get the extension as immigration is shut on the day your stamp ends.

You can get a 30 day extension not 15 day,1900 baht,if your son is Thai and you have all the paperwork you can get 60 days extension also for the same cost.

Thanks so much guys, I must admit I slightly soiled my pants...

When I last extended my tourist stamp it was 15 days extension, so this is now 30 days? must have changed but good news...

When you say paper work with regards to my son and the 60 days.. that sounds a great option, we have my sons birth certificate with us, it is in Thai, our marriage certificate, is that all I will need? I can even take my son in with lol

Thanks for the info and fast replies its really appreciated

Before the rules changed last year to allow the 30 day extension a 7 day extension application was all that was possible.

Perhaps you were thinking of a 15 day entry after doing a border hop.
