Surely shuffling these people does nothing at all. I would of thought all the bureaucrats/civil servants who actually carry out the day to day works will largely remain the same irrespective of who is in Government or in charge of that particular ministry.

A nonsense poll. There is no country in the world where a random poll would turn up this number of people who have detailed knowledge of the names and performance of all of the cabinet ministers.

This is exactly what I thought. How many people in Thailand (or for that matter any country in the world including mine) could even name more than their Prime Minister / President and 2-3 most high profile Ministers. I would love to see the survey questions !!!

Tipped for return is former TRT politician and economic mastermind Somkid - the fact he is banned from politics is no problem. A little amendment to the law this month opened the door for him, now that he switched sides. Just goes to show, it is not about policy or economics, but about whose side you are on.

Tipped for removal is Dep. PM Wongsuwan, who heads the Wongsuawan faction of the military. Traditionally it is this faction that runs the Military, rather than the Queen's guard that PM Prayut heads.

One gets the feeling that the PM is waling a very tight rope.

Somkid was appointed as advisor to the NCPO more than a year ago and is currently chairman to the PM's Advisory Board. Somkid is seen as a bright mind who supervised execution of Economic Measurements under then PM Thaksin and especially able in International Marketing, Branding and related areas.

Somkid is no longer under a five-year ban, it expired almost three years ago for those 111 TRT politicians. He is also not under a politics ban other than all politics being put on hold for the 'duration'.

What we did have though is "banned from taking up posts in the cabinet under the interim charter". That restriction was removed for ALL politicians and others thus effected.

All in all please try to be a bit more precise and accurate.

To have an effective cabinet reshuffle, you need to reshuffle the PM along with it.

Without a public constituency to drive the nation's economic roadmap, a new cabinet will only continue toTadhere to Prayut's failed economic roadmap. The current PM will merely continue to exercise economic policies based on his personal ideology and preferences regardless of any professional advice as he has shown for the last 14 months.
