Non immigration O visa advice?

My situation is i have a non O visa, for dependant child, multiple entry and i work offshore. My visa expires soon and my question is can i extend or do i have to go through the hole visa application process again? Is it easy enough to do in Chiang Mai or should i do it back in my home country?

You can only apply for an extension of stay based upon being the parent of a Thai at Chiang Mai immigration. You must be the legal father of your child by way of marriage or legitimization to apply for it. You will also need to show financial proof of 400k baht in a Thai bank or 40k baht income.

You could get a multiple entry non-o visa in Savannakhet Laos if you are living with your child's mother and all of you were all present present when you applied for it.

You could also get one in Penang if you have 400k baht in the bank or proof of 40k baht income,

a bank book with cash in it (i have succeeded by showing 40k to over a million on different years - however my bank book shows regular cash influxes)

child's birth cert
