problem with 90 day report due soon but am laid up after two strokes in three weeks

Featured Replies

Hi everybody,

I am hoping that someone, somewhere can offer me some good advice.

On 5th July and 27th July I had a stroke and a minor stroke, respectively.

My 90 day report is due 9th August, but my physical condition is such that a trip in person to immigration is simply beyond my capabilities at the moment.

Does anyone know of a visa company that would help me in this set of circumstances. I cannot travel around chiang mai itself, so I would be looking for a company that would pick up my documents from where I live and act as a third party to do my 90 day report.

Anyone know of a reliable and reputable company that could assist me with this problem?

Many thanks in advance for any recommendations given.

Can you do your 90 day report by mail in Chiang Mai?

Anybody could do the report for you. No need for an agent.

You could also do it online It can be done from 15 to 7 day before your report date.

I have tried online from my tablet, but it does not work. On my PC it will not go past the first page. As for mailing it in, I cannot get to a post office and in any case to arrive within 7 days of the due date, it would have get to immigration by Saturday (is that possible given there is only two days before that date?)

My problem is that I am new to the area I now live, and do not really know anyone close who I could ask to help.

I believe the on line reporting only works with Internet Explorer browser, try that.

you have got to find a solution as you will be fined 2000 THB,if you fail to report.

In Chiang Mai, the two best known visa agent companies are O.S. Thai Visa and Assist Thai Visa. O.S. Thai Visa is in the Nimmanheimen area and Assist Thai Visa is in Chiang Mai Land, off Chang Klan Rd.

I'd suggest you contact the one closest to where you live and ask if they come to your phone to pick up your documents.

You definitely can do 90 day reporting by mail in Chiang Mai, also, with very good detailed instructions in a pinned thread on ThaiVisa's Chiang Mai thread:

I've got to believe there is someone the OP knows who could go to the post office for him.

There is no requirement that your report arrive 7 days early, the actual requirement is that you send it at least 15 days before your due date. That sad, Chiang Mai Immigration have always been flexible and accepted mailed in reports as long as they arrive before your due date. I don't know if that will change, now that they have moved and you can also report online.

If you are unable to go to a post office, then I assume that you can also not travel to the office of one of the agents. I don't know if any agent offers pick up service (if so presumably for an increased fee). Can anyone using an agent comment on if that is possible?

Try Thaivisa Assist first and if that doesn't work out, PM me and I'll do it for you.

If this is Doug from Britain I can mail it for you. I can walk you through the paperwork. Come see me as soon as possible or PM me and I will come right up. Also any medical letters may help you if your mail gets there a little late.

I would like to express my deep appreciation for all the posts in reply to my original post. Many thanks indeed for the contacts and advice given to me. In particular, offers of aid to get this sorted are especially appreciated no end, as is the practical help already given to me by elgordo38.

Thank you one and all.

Thank you one and all.

Immigration came to my school and explained that we can do our 90 days online, but it has to be 14 days before due date, not less

To the OP:

The problem you might have encountered is that only Internet Explorer is working for this task. No other browsers work!!

To your situation: I had a friend in a similar situation and all he needed was a medical certificate, a photograph in bed, his wife then drove to the Immigration and they always extended his stay for two years......

Please see link: https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn90online/online/tm47/TM47Action.do

Get well soon. best of luck from lower northeast.
