When choosing our Childs name my Wife and I had to think carefully about a name which could be comfortably and accurately pronounced by various family members (English and Thai) without any 'double' meanings... For example an acquaintance of mine had her Thai ID with the last name of Unaphom. When she went to get her passport made, they changed it to Onaporn. I told her to go back and have it changed but the passport office said their decision is final and cannot be appealed.
