Jai Dee Posted September 22, 2006 Share Posted September 22, 2006 Former deputy prime minister Surakiart Sathirathai will continue campaigning for the post of UN secretary-general Former deputy prime minister Surakiart Sathirathai (สุรเกียรติ์ เสถียรไทย) admits the current political situation affects his campaign for the post of UN secretary-general. Mr. Surakiart thanked army commander-in-chief Gen. Sonthi Boonyaratglin (สนธิ บุญยรัตกลิน), as chairman of the Council of Democratic Reform under the Constitutional Monarchy (CDRM) for pledging support for his campaign. He said he will soon seek to discuss his campaign strategies with Gen. Sonthi.
