up untill this week i have missed sponge puddings,syrup,jam and custard.

the wife bought some imported french jam[casino brand] from big C,it is proper fruit jam,blackberry,rasberry and mixed fruit.

i googled golden syrup got a recipe[very easy] got some plain sponge cakes,big C own,euro butter cup cakes and then came the best part.

warmed the cake,then poured syrup on top to soak through,a blob of jam and some custard.

were they good? you try it.

Used to love Heinz treacle sponge (in a can) till I read the ingredients and saw fish oil in there. Not quite so keen now.

Hardened fish oil is in the shortening used to make the sponge, a little bit of trans fat won't kill you!
