BREAKING NEWS US and Japan Issue Tsunami Alerts After Massive 8.8 Quake in Russia’s Kamchatka
Picture of the earthquake in Russia's Kamchatka courtesy of NDTV A major 8.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula, unleashing panic across the Pacific with tsunami warnings and swift evacuations from Japan to Hawaii. Striking 126 kilometres southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at a depth of 18 kilometres, the quake rattled the Russian Far East. Waves soared to 4 metres along Kamchatka’s coast, yet miraculously, no injuries were reported. Kamchatka’s Governor Vladimir Solodov labelled it “the strongest in decades.” The United States and Japan swiftly issued sweeping tsunami alerts. HHawaii’s officials triggered urgent evacuations across the entire state, including in Oahu’s state capital, Honolulu. The US National Weather Service cautioned of potential 3-metre waves that could wreak havoc on these paradise shores. Alaska and Guam were placed under alert as waves of 1-3 metres were anticipated. The US weather forecasters also extended their warnings to the Philippines, Canada, Yap, and the Marshall Islands. US and Canadian West Coast areas, including the Aleutian Islands, were on high alert. Japan’s Meteorological Agency urged residents along the Pacific coast to evacuate. National broadcaster NHK cut into regular programming to broadcast live alerts, showing alarming scenes of vehicles racing away from the coast in Miyagi Prefecture. Tokachi and Hokkaido observed waves of 40 centimetres, with predictions reaching up to 3 metres in some places, according to reports. Throughout the tumult, emergency services in the affected regions remained vigilant to ensure that public safety was prioritised. Communities braced for the impending waves, with authorities poised to act swiftly to protect lives and minimise damage. The unfolding events highlighted the urgent need for readiness and resilience in the face of natural disasters. While the immediate impact of the earthquake is being assessed, the broader implications on infrastructure and safety systems remain a focus for officials both regionally and internationally. USA Ghislaine Maxwell’s Staggering Demands for Congressional Testimony
I dislike feeling irrelevant as we all do and the elitist nature of government is aggravating. I see the rich getting richer and policies that aren't addressing this issue. The bottom half is doing OK compared to 50 years ago but the gap is so large that it is depressing for many and the same applies to middle class as a whole. Ignoring that relativite saving/earnings is more important than the amount of savings/earnings you have is silly. I watched from afar my wealthy friends did well during covid and even now. All the easy money policies have made them rich because they own the inflated assets. Those with vast amounts of disposable income, put it in real-estate and other investments and demand side economics have increased assets to levels I thought I would never see. Great time to have cash! Price to earning ratios in the markets of 25 are normal now. Insane... -

Is Trump actually doing a better job than you expected?
This post says more about the OPs personality than anytjing else. His glee at Trump's attacks on people that both have decided, without due process, are enemies of the State, belie their pretense of religious and conservative values. No one wants illegal immigrants flooding their borders, but the regime's brutality, complete lack of lawful process and basic human rights, echo a North Korea, not a once great democratic country. When did Europe and fellow US citizens with differing political viewpoints, become the ones to attack? When did Russia become a place to be admired and imitated? Why do you consider the governments accomplishments to be about lives ruined and friendships destroyed? Why do you only very briefly talk about the economy and with that tell a lie? -
