Thai Fisherman stabbed by Cambodian on Jomtien Beach

PATTAYA: -- In the early hours of Wednesday, a 32 year old Fisherman was stabbed in his stomach and neck by a member of a Cambodian gang who attacked the Thai man following a problem with a fishing rod.

The incident occurred opposite the entrance to Soi 10 and resulted in serious injuries sustained to Khun Yordluck. His friend, Khun Biak aged 25, explained to Police that the injured man was part of a group of Thai men who had gone to Jomtien Beach for some late-night fishing. As the group cast their lines, two Cambodians approached and knocked over two of the fishing rods.

This angered Khun Yordluck who exchanged profanities with the two Cambodians who later returned with 5 other Cambodians. A fight ensued, during which time, Khun Yordluck was stabbed.

How dare those Cambodians use same game plan that Thai men use: return with group of friends so odds are never even in fight.

Interesting nightly activities at Jomtien Beach, didn't know that about Jomtien.

7 on 2. Learning the Thai way lol

Taste of your own medicine lol

Cambodians acting like Thais. clap2.gifcheesy.gif

The Op does say they were a part of a group that went fishing. So maybe it was 7 on 7, which is why the Thais lost...

It's in their culture really, Cambodia and Thailand same same.

Oh well, thats how it goes when thais are not at least double as many as the opponent ....

clap2.gif Happy Happy Happy!

Now if only all the rest of Thailand's neighbours ie Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam , Cambodian and even Malaysians start waking up and stop being meek and instead standing up and start treating Thais the way that they treat migrant workers and foreigners here.

Why this Thai bashing ?

If you travel to remote areas in Cambodia and walk out late at night you will also find the same gang mentality , 5 against 1 . Thais, Cambodians , Laotians , they all have something in common there. This is Thailand but it doesn't mean it's not happening across the border. Just read the Cambodian news , same same.

If the purpose of a fight is to prove your manhood, sure, put up your dukes and go mano a mano. But that's folly.

If the purpose of a fight is to win- to defend yourself, or to inflict harm on someone else, you bring the most people and the baddest weapons.

Anyone who goes into a fight expecting it to be fought according to the Queeen's rules, is an idiot. Thais and Cambodians aren't idiots that way.

A lot of my countrymen...are.
