Where to get (just pay by hour) the fastest connection in Bkk or Pattaya?

Featured Replies

I recently purchased the 1tb yearly subscription for dropbox, which I intend to use to store some backup stuff.

I must have around 500gb of data to put there, but even though my internet plan has 15Mbit download speed, I only get around 1Mbit upload speed, which sends my files to dropbox at around 100kbytes/s and at this rate it would take me weeks to upload all that, considering that I don't use my connection for anything else.

Now, the question is: is there any place (internet cafe or similars) that has an insane connection speed (talking about 100Mbit/s or more) that I could go with a laptop or even an external hard drive and upload these files? Doesn't need to be free, I could pay and sit for a few hours.

Subscribe to AIS Wifi for a month. I think it's only 69THB and the speeds are really good. At the McDonald's in Fortune Mall I got something like 50+Mbps down, 40Mbps+ up.

University libraries usually have insanely fast comnections

It's many years since I tested one but it the speed was over 100MB up and down

Could be a 1GB now

Just buy a 2TB hard drive ( or 2 ) and back up your stuff to that stuff that is super super important ( few gigs maybe) could maybe also be stored on Dropbox you would be very hard pressed to find an Internet cafe or similar ( in Thailand ) with 100Mbit/s or more down let alone up..... sorry
