Last week I tried to do a 90 days report but I constantly failed.

Before I gave up, I used my former passport number (in Sweden we apparently get another passport number when we get a new passport and I got a new one more than a year ago) and voila, success.

I got a new Non-O after I got a new passport, not transferred over the the new one.

I was sent to another page with my information and also "pending" in a label on the web page.

Reported on a Sunday evening, Thursday, I got an email with the text "90 Days approved"

Dear Mr.

ผลการแจ้งที่พักอาศัยเกิน 90 วัน ของท่าน มีการ อนุมัติ กรุณาตรวจสอบการ อนุมัติ ได้ที่ www.immigration.go.th

Notification 90 days is Approved. You can check status by visit www.immigration.go.th

I went to their web page and logged in with my old passport number and printed out the confirmation but I kept the old report in my passport, just in case when I apply for a new year of visa (Permit to stay Non-O with business).

Yeay, finally I don't need to fight in traffic and in immigration with anyone anymore just to get 90 more days.

I write this to give information for long term people that if you have changed passport and the number is changed in the new one and you don't seem to be able to report, try the old passport number.

If you get a new passport after your last entry to the country your record using the new passport number will not found and you will get a contact your local immigration office.

You are lucky you got the approval using your old passport number.

Good for you since you are one of the lucky few to succeed 90 day online ...

I think there are more people that are doing their reports online than those that are unable to do it.

More people report problems than those that are successful.

Seems there is a failure to update the database somewhere in the system.

The OP got a new passport and visa so the system should have updated on his return to the country making it impossible for the old PP number to be used.

no idea guys...

i asked my company Hr a few times about this.. they keep insisting it is only meant for people from Lao and some other countries...

anyway they do the renewals for me so i'm not really bothered..

Apparently he got the new passport after his last entry to the country.

A local immigration office cannot update the database that the online reporting system accesses.

I cannot do online reports because I have an old entry and a new passport. Neither passport number works.

Thanks ! Yes I understand but if I were designing the system I might ensure the central database was updated at the point of entry.

They are full of it. The online reporting is for everybody that needs to make 90 day reports.

Just go to the online reporting site and read the terms and conditions. https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn90online

The database is updated every time you enter the country.

Immigration has more than one data base. The one an immigration office accesses is not the same one that the online reporting system accesses. Apparently the data base the online reporting system only has basic info that is recorded on entry.

Again, I got a new passport BEFORE I applied for a new year of Non-O Business, based on marriage.

I haven't left Thailand in 3 years now, I've got a Non-O permit to stay business visa based on marriage.

You most likely have an "extension of stay" based either on marriage or work !

It makes no difference that you got a new extension of stay (it is not a visa) after you got a new passport. The online reporting system only has access to the record of your last entry to the country. Until you leave and re-enter the country you will not be able to use your new passport number for online reporting.

What a messed up system, but I said visa earlier otherwise some people gets confused. Some call the permit to stay for visa. I know the difference but most are getting seriously confused.

What I didn't know was I had to leave the country for them to update my passport number, even if I apply with my new passport number when applying for a new yearly permit to stay.

When thinking about it, it doesn't make much sense what you say I can't use my new passport number for OLR, I apparently could and furthermore, what about the rest of the people staying here long term. I was able to use my OLD passport number and until next 90 days reporting, I believe it's not the passport number that qualifies me, I believe it's my name with reported adress that are the qualification factors.

I know one guy who was kicked out from Thailand for 10 years, he came back after changing his last name in his country of origin the year after with a new passport. He was let in without so much a question.

I have no idea if the number was the same before and after his name change, but I do know he got in again and stayed for 2 some years before moving back to his country.
