CDC bars reporters from attending Aug 19-20 session

BANGKOK, 18 August 2015 (NNT) – The Constitution Drafting Committee has decided not to allow reporters to attend the upcoming sessions in which groups proposing changes to the draft charter will be presenting their cases.

CDC member Paiboon Nititawan said on Monday that the reporters will not be allowed to hear all eight groups which have suggested various changes to the draft Constitution because the charter drafters have not unveiled the complete draft to any party yet.

Mr. Paiboon said that, if reporters are allowed to attend the sessions, which are scheduled during August 19 and 20, they will not receive complete information and the accurate essence of the draft charter.

However, he said that the CDC will invite reporters to a meeting in which the core essence of the draft Constitution will be brought up for discussion, tentatively during August 22 – 28, or after the final draft of the Constitution is submitted to the National Reform Council on August 22.

transparency? oh yes you have no idea what that means

When attitudes need to be adjusted, there can be no witnesses.

Sounds similar to the Obama admin recently banning the media from the presentation on government transparency.

Well, I guess there won't be any paintings made of this historic event?

Mr. Paiboon said that, if reporters are allowed to attend the sessions, which are scheduled during August 19 and 20, they will not receive complete information and the accurate essence of the draft charter.

Yes, the "essence", that fetid smell emanating from this august body, and it's "creation".

Queue squat toilet and bum-gun, as they squeeze out this dookie.

"...Mr. Paiboon said that, if reporters are allowed to attend the sessions...they will not receive complete information and the accurate essence of the draft charter..."

How patently pathetic for people in high positions to make this kind of statement. So whose fault would it be that they don't receive complete and accurate information?
