I leave others to live the life they choose to live.

I take a personal inventory and not that of others.

I live one day a a time.

I'm not the center of the universe.

I don't control what others do, think or say.

I don't care why people come to, stay at or visit Thailand.

I dont care what they wear, how they smell or the amount of money they have.

I believe in a high-power and am happy to be alive in my paradise.

Peace, Love and Tolerance.

Why would anyone be offended by the OPs post? UNLESS it accurately describes you. But if not, you can't deny that there are many who fits the description that the OP articulated. Just sayin.

I've no idea. I choose not to move in those circles.

"They act like they are paying us, and we act like we are working." It's a saying in Cuba, which could easily apply to working here, and it seems like a lot of the Thais have already adopted the same work ethic. The high strung people are often the first to fail, while a lot of functional alcoholics manage long tenures in the same job. It is true, that the locals place a huge importance on style/looks, way more than substance. I have an old, comfortable shirt with a few ink spots on it. I can barely wear it to 7-11, without getting looks of disbelief. Hey, it's comfortable, clean and my monk's robe is at the dry cleaners, what can I say? Having been a Federal Contractor in Washington DC, I can say that the OP describes several million of them, too. My 80 yo mother, once took a seasonal job with the Smithsonian. The second week of work, she was taken aside by the full timers, and told that she needed to "slow it down."

Sounds passive aggressive and judgmental, but hey piety takes effort

I agree with the above, but am pretty certain that planets , stars and shit like that do revovle around me, they change position every day when I look up?

I came here to get my teeth fixed where do I fit in ?

Sorry to say, if you cannot make $1,000 a month in your home country and move all the way to Thailand and put up with all the BS including VISA Runs, not owning a house or car, etc. and take a job as a teacher in Thailand, you are probably just as the OP described.

Honestly, unless you want to work for 30,000 thb or less (Probably much less) the rest of your life, where is the career plan? Do you think your non-degree'd teaching experience in Thailand is going to help land you a job at Oxford?

No retirement or pitiful savings.

No one ever seems to think about the future until it catches them by surprise

I'm a teacher and own a car and because I have a WP I don't do visa runs. But I agree about the savings, hence the reason I have an endowment policy.

I have to agree with the above poseter, I'm not a teacher, but know some that see this as a good experience.
