Amazing that people defend this insanity.

How is this good for America and/or the western world?

Why should the majority of the world care what is good for "America and/or the western world"?
You mean NATO, right?

Israel is the elephant in the room - they're the ones who want to scuttle this deal.

Fear of an Iranian nuclear bomb is a cynical diversion, a red-herring.

What they are really afraid of is Iran coming out of isolation and rejoining the international community as a diplomatic and trading partner of influence in the region.

Large scale military operations in the area by America and its allies have proved to be disastrous failures.

US backed Israeli violence and aggression peaked last year with its vicious crimes in Gaza.

A resurgent Iran is going to be a game changer - for better or for worse - and they all know it.

Most Israelis. 58% of Americans and plenty of other thinking people, all over the planet.

A majority of Americans would vote to quash the nuclear deal with Iran if they were in Congress, according a survey released over the weekend, with most voters saying they don’t trust Tehran to keep to the terms of the deal.

Sorry for the cross post, but my post on a different thread actually belongs here:

For those who aren't ideologically, or for whatever other reason opposed to everything Obama related, and are interested in really understanding the P5+1 Iran Nuclear Agreement, may I recommend the following article:

http://www.vox.com/2015/8/19/9176415/iran-deal-inspections-24-days

There may well be legitimate reasons for opposing the deal. I have yet to see one. But whether you support or oppose it, argue from facts, because this is too important an issue to be used for partisan point-scoring.

Unfortunately most of its critics get their "facts" from Fox news, and they aren't exactly renowned for being beacons of truth and light.

Yes, also something for which they're renowned.

Well spotted Chuck.

The AP is already back peddling away from this poorly researched and completely unsourced story of theirs.

The AP had seen a document which would allow Iran to “investigate” the Parchin military site itself in the IAEA’s stead. The article itself makes this allegation in a single sentence, providing no evidence, and then is packed with condemnations from Republican hawks and other opponents of the Iran nuclear deal.

The UN has already flatly denied the AP story.

Done. Move on.

Fortunate they're not in congress then! Best leave the more complex world issues to grown-ups ?

The only things moving more quickly are some of our esteemed members running from this thread.

Anyway, now the focus should be on uncovering those responsible for this deceitful act.

The AP should perform a review with outside investigators and then publish the results.

Someone already posted that UN will keep control over the Iranian nuclear program not Iran itself.
