PHUKET: -- Police are looking for anyone who can provide information about a single-vehicle motorbike accident in which a man died in Pa Khlok this morning (August 24).

Local residents reported to police that a motorbike and a dead man was found in a roadside canal near the Supalai Garden residential estate on the Heroines’ Monument-Pa Khlok Rd about 6:30am.

The man has been identified as Chatchai Somwang, 43, reported Lt Kraison Boonprasop of the Thalang Police.

“He was a local resident, but there were no witnesses to the accident,” he said.

“We are continuing to take statements from people in the area in the hope of determining whether any other vehicles were involve din the accident.”

Rescue workers from the Kusoldharm Foundation transported Mr Chatchai’s body to Thalang Hospital.

Very drunk perhaps?

perhaps, did they breathalyze him?
Maybe his blood was checked, but he is dead, so not breathing.

Looks like a fair height drop from the road, whatever the cause. Even if it was just misadventure with no dodgy background, a broken neck, even with a helmet, would not be out of the question.

Respects to the family and friends affected.

I wonder if they'll do a blood alcohol test?. Take blood from the femoral artery at the post mortem for testing.

Why would they? Would it help anybody?
