Desperate Thai man drinks toilet cleaner in suicide attempt at East Pattaya apartment



PATTAYA: -- On Monday afternoon Police and medics were called to an apartment complex in East Pattaya to assist a Thai man who had attempted to take his own life by drinking toilet cleaner.

Khun Gichana was rushed to Hospital and the extent of his internal injuries are still being assessed. According to the owner of the apartment complex, he had rented a room there for the past 3 months with his Girlfriend and their child.

For the last 3 days the pair were known to be fighting on a daily basis and it was also known that the victim had recently lost his job leaving the couple in a financial crisis.

Victim had recently lost his job? And going out to get a new one out of thousands jobs available was not an option?

I thought the unemployment rate was the lowest in the world. 1%? Should be able to snap his fingers and get a job tomorrow.

sad that anyone gets to that point, find it difficult to be sympathetic but hope he recovers and can take care of his child.
