new visa of 1-2 entries in lao or cambodia

Featured Replies

hi,

a question please, my visa of 2 entries from Israel is expired on the 4 of September, I already did the 30 days extension inside Thailand after I used my 2 entries, so now I want to make new visa for 1-2 entries in laos or Cambodia ,

but the agency that I talk to today have told me that today is not easy to make new visa, and it is 70 % of getting the visa, and that there are many refusal to make new visa on the embassies on both countries .

so what is the current situation ?, and am I in big risk of not getting new visa or loosing my money that I will pay for the trip and visa ?

also I been told that some time the embassies give visa as much as they want and not what you ask and pay for , so they can give only 1 month even if you pay for 2 month 1 enter visa for example .

thanks and all the best benny.

As far as I know there is no restriction on Israeli citizens applying for a tourist visa in nearby countries.

Perhaps you should speak to a different travel agent.

hi nowretired,

thanks for yore answer but I did not say there is any restriction on Israelis , there aren't , I ask about the problem that thai government and there for embassies making today to tourists that want new visa after they been in Thailand for some time or long time, I am now here for 5 month, this is what I ask, not on restriction on Israelis .

things changing all the time, so please only someone that know 100 % the answer to post his view , thanks.

The Thai Government are not making it difficult to obtain a tourist visa Many people obtain tourist visas every day.

If you want a double entry tourist visa travel to Vientiane and apply for one...

The "agency" you spoke to provided poor advice/information.

.

Your agent is incorrect. You will be able to obtain a TV. Also more afterwards. If your staying in bkk don't overlook a flight to nearby country. Especially visa exempt ones. Also if you do not have several visa exempt stamps you can use that avenue along with TV. The visa exempt can be extended for 30days

whistling.gif There is never a certainty, but I expect your best choice will be in Vientiane, Laos.

I think your chances are good there, especially if it is your first tourist visa application there.

Try for a double entry tourist visa.

From what I am told, avoid Tuesdays and Thursdays as those are the crowded days when the busloads of tourists looking for visas arrive with the visa agency visa tours arrive,

You don't need to spend extra for "help" from an agent.... you can do it all yourself.

hi,

thanks for the answers,

about the visa exempt , flying and comeback for more visa and after extend to more 30 days , it is good solution but I finish now my 2 entries visa after I did 2 visa run and 30 days extension inside Thailand, is this regard as visa exempt also ? will I be able to get more 30 days extent after the visa exempt in the airport ? or maybe I have already to many visa exempt because of the visa run I did on my current 2 entries visa ?

second, if I go to vientiane , how many days it take to get the visa ?, and is it better to come from Bangkok buy flight or buy road, and where do I cross the border to laos and Vientiane ,

is there a bus from Bangkok to Vientiane that stop on the border for visa matter and keep on going to Vientiane ,

thanks benny.
