Govt urges public not to rush to conclusions regarding Ratchaprasong bombing

BANGKOK, 2 September 2015 (NNT) - The Prime Minister’s Office has asked the public not to assume the foreigner arrested near the Thai-Cambodian border is responsible for the Ratchaprasong bombing, until the investigation is complete.

Deputy Spokesperson to the PM Office Major General Weerachon Sukhontapatipak revealed that police investigators are trying to determine if he is a member of the Uighur ethnic minority.

However, he urged the general public not to assume the deportation of Uighurs from Thailand to China motivated the Bangkok bombings, until the police investigation is completed.

After the arrest of a second foreign suspect who resembles the Ratchaprasong bomber, Major General Weerachon stated that he was apprehended while trying to enter Cambodia through the jungle.

Forgive my ignorance but I assumed when the RTP trousered the reward money that they must have solved the case and arrested the bombing suspect?

The government has the monopoly on "conclusion-rushing"

The frightening thought, is these people carry guns!

agreed!

its unbelievable how corrupt and contradicting the Authorities are!

its disgusting they award themselves the Reward money, yet they transfered 18 officers who 'apparently' missed evidence, (though more likely to cover their asses because of their bosses lack of competance), the police have been making wild conclusions and guesses during this (and every major event)... and they have the gall to warn public not to jump to conclusions.. Lol

** laughable **

Thai people just playing "follow the leader". Press conferences and announcements are just toooo much of temptation for RTP etc. Should heed Mark Twain:

"Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than open it and remove all doubt."
