Greetings all,

I had to return to U.S in March for family business. My 1st extension expired in May. I am returning to Bangkok on Sept. 15th. I will be arriving and getting the regular 30 day visa on arrival. My questions are the following:

If I go to immigration on Sept. 17th with a completed TM7 Form, Certified Income letter from the embassy, Copies/Signed of all Passport Pages, and Arrival Card will I be able to get then?

Or will I get a 60 day extension and then return to immigration?

Since I was issued one before I not sure if that would speed it up.

Thanks for any reply s...

You will have to start all over again by getting a 90 day non-o visa entry and then applying for the extension during the last 30 days of the 90 day entry from it.

You could d a conversion of the 30 day entry at Bangkok immigration to a 90 day non immigrant visa entry but you must have 15 days remaining on your entry when you apply. It will take 2 trips to immigration 15 days apart to get the visa/entry stamps.

Thank you ubonjoe,

What form is required for the 90 day non immigrant visa? TM7? As you can see I will be going to immigration within 2-3 days after I arrive.

Any chance you live close enough to a Thai consulate to get a Non-Immigrant O visa before you leave the US? That would simplify what you need to do once you land in Thailand.
