Renew NON 0 (married) visa Bangkok what to do?

Featured Replies

Hello Thai visa members,

I need to renew my NON IMMIGRANT 0 (married) visa.

Expired on 19 September 2015.

Issued in Europe, I live in Bangkok and would like to renew in Bangkok if possible.

What documents I need and where to go.

Thank you very much,

If you are asking about a 12 month extension of stay based on Marriage to a Thai woman you apply in the area you are living.

If you are in Bangkok you apply at Chaeng Wattana.

A Rough Guide.

(1) The alien has obtained a temporary visa (NON-IM)

(6) In case of marriage with a Thai lady, the husband who is an alien must have an average annual income of not less than 40,000 baht per month or a money deposit in a local Thai bank of not less than 400,000 baht for the past 2 months for expenses within a year.

Letter from your Thai Bank showing balance and up to date bank book.

OR.

If income from outside Thailand: Letter from your Embassy showing income. Now may also need proof of income as back up.

If Income from Thailand: Statements showing Income Tax receipts.

Marriage Certificate. (Kor Ror 3)

Marriage Registry entry. (Kor Ror 2)

Wife's Tabbien Baan and ID Card.

Your Passport.

Copies of everything.

Photos of you and your Wife in and around the house.

A map showing the way to your house.

Passport size photos and 1,900 Baht fee.

Take your Wife to be interviewed.

One or two witnesses may be required.

You will be given a 30 day under consideration stamp.

Go back in a month and get the remainder.

If you are asking about applying for a Non Imm O Visa the best place to go is Savanakhet Laos

You can get a Multi Entry with no financial requirements.

Hi lite beer,

Thank you very much, i have a "1 year multi entry Non IMM O visa" and just need to renew this.

Is that possible in Cheng wattana, or as you said do i need to do this in another country?

Again thanks very much for your information.

It depends what you want to do.

Apply for a new Multi Entry Non Imm O Visa in Savanakhet Laos.

This would mean border runs every 90 days.

OR

Apply for a 12 month extension at Immigration in Thailand.

This would not mean border runs but you report to Immigration every 90 days instead.

I am leaving anyway every 4 weeks so problems with border runs.

Most easy to go to immigration i guess.

Cheng wattana is where i need to go i guess?

Again thanks for your reply and helpfull information.

Cheers

If you are leaving every 4 weeks you would probably be better off with the same Visa you have now.

Savanakhet will issue one and you don't need any money in the bank.

A 12 month extension from Chaeng Wattana requires 400,000 in the bank or 40,000 monthly income.

You would need to get a Multi Re Entry Permit also if you intend leaving every 4 weeks.

Ok noted,

Thanks

whistling.gif You can not "renew" a non immigrant 0 visa in Thailand.

You probably can "renew" a non O visa in Savanakhet Laos.

If you are married and living in Thailand you can however apply for a yearly extension of your current visa in Chang Wattana.

Read Lite Beer's two posts on this topic above.

He's got the information correct there in those two posts.

Correct i am married and live in Thailand working offshore (not offshore Thailand)cheng Wattana i will go.

Thank you

You will be given a 30 day under consideration stamp.

You need to be in Thailand on the day they give you to collect your extension.
