brewsterbudgen
Naughty people out late enjoying themselves. Lock them up and through away the key. disgraceful people. Cops of Pattaya The people enjoying themselves weren't naughty as they were of legal age and drug free (according to the report). It's the venue owners who are "naughty" for being unlicensed. glasswort
Perhaps when they have finished in South Pattaya the BIB will do the same to the unnecessarily loud, sleazy (almost certainly unlicensed) joints prevalent in North Pattaya.

Srikcir
"However, when Police checked for licenses, the Pub appeared to be unlicensed." Police CLUE Check for license BEFORE raid. It should be on file.
oxforddon
Just what is it that upsets posters regarding this article ? A un-licenced pub operating beyond legal times gets raided. That all seems like very normal police procedure to me and underlying reasons for it seem clear.

Friendly Stranger
Check them for fire hazards, separate exit doors, unlocked, fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems and video cameras. Are you mad! They don't care about that, unlicensed probably means off the grid. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. All in all, good for the Thai five-o. KhunBENQ
Would love to know how long such a business can openly/publicly run without license (as supposed)? Just compare with your home country.

Just compare with your home country. Indeed. Thailand is certainly not like my home country! One would think that after the Santika fire, licensing would be taken more seriously. Oh well, maybe this is a start
