Police Clearance Certificate

Featured Replies

Hi

Is it possible as a foreigner to obtain a police clearance certificate in Phuket or, can this only be done in Bangkok?

Thyey are only done in Bangkok but you can request one by mail. See: http://www.pcscenter.sb.police.go.th/eng/

Thanks Ubonjoe

Yeah +1 - I got one whilst working in the UK, although there was extra faffing around involved.

When I click on 'apply for clearance certificate via mail' it says that it is "For an applicant residing abroad only"

Is that a mistake? Can foreigners residing in Thailand really do it by mail?

They have an "outsourced service" that will cost you so much (B 6500) that it's cheaper for you to go to BKK and stay 1 night in a hotel but I believe that it's only available if you are residing outside Thailand.

Hello,

I applied for a Thai police clearance at the Headquarters of Royal Thai Police

in Bangkok last year, but I had to go back there to pick it up in person a month

later and was not allowed to get it mailed to me. I don't know whether or not you

can apply for one by mail if you live in Thailand, though.
