Hi. My friend from India having business in pattaya. Accidentally missed his last date to apply for renewal. As per the visa expired date, he is 11 days over stay !!

Different people are giving different opinion.
1. He can have renewal with over stay charge...with stamp on passport as over stay.
2. Generally for Non-B visa holders, gets one month's extension to prepare papers by the lawyer, so he cant be over stay, if already lawyer had apply for his visa. Comment by another person.
3. This over stay will reflect on his passport or it would be just fine paid to the department ?
4. Will it effect the reputation on his registered company ( in immigration record )
5. His wife is living with Non-O on his visa. Will it effect the same result on her passport too ?
6. How much he have to pay to immigration as over stay for him and his wife ?

If some one has the same experience as my friend, please share. . All genuine and lawful advice is welcome.

1.. It will up to immigration whether they will a accept an extension application that late. They might just give 7 days to leave the country after paying the overstay.fine and 1900 baht for the extension.

2. A 30 day under consideration stamp is often given after an application is accepted. It is not an extension.

3. He will get an overstay stamp in his passport.

4. Probably not.

5. She is now on overstay also since her extension is tied to his.

6. The overstay fine is 500 baht per day.

There is a very good chance they will have to get new visas and start the extension process all over.

One more thing, i would like to know Mr. Ubonjoe. Over stamp, if any, would put any negative effect on my friend's passport or on his register company in future ?

Thank you Mr. Ubonjoe. Are you lawyer or work for some law farm? Just curious to know. I see you have deep knowledge about Thai law.
