Jai Dee Posted September 26, 2006 Share Posted September 26, 2006 THAI gears up to service people at Suvarnabhumi Airport The Permanent Secretary to the Transport Ministry, Mr. Wanchai Sarathulthat (วันชัย ศารทูลทัต), in his capacity as the Thai Airways International (THAI) Chairman of the Board of Directors, has affirmed that THAI is ready to service the public at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Mr. Wanchai spoke about the relocation of THAI’s operation from Don Muang Airport to Suvarnabhumi Airport. He said THAI has continually tested its aviation operations, flight navigation system, ground services, and operation center. He said certain equipments have already been transferred to the new airport. He has affirmed that all departments of THAI are fully equipped to offer their services at the new airport, following its opening on September 28th. He disclosed that Mr. Chaisak Angsuwan (ชัยศักดิ์ อังสุวรรณ), the Civil Aviation Department Director-General, has been assigned to cooperate with other airlines over their preparation for the airport’s opening. Currently, all airlines have confirmed their readiness for this occasion. Limousines •drop off at PTC 4th floor, innerr curb •contact Limousine Counter •pick up PTC 2nd floor, inner curb 4. Private Buses and Coaches •drop off at PTC 4th floor, outer curb •pick up at PTC 1st floor, inner curb 5. Public Buses •drop off at Public Transportation Center, take express shuttle bus to PTC. All bus services will drop the customers off at the Public Transportation Center. Bus No. 549 : SBIA – Minburi – Bangkapi Starting from Suvarnabhumi Airport . Go along Lad Krabang Road and turn right to Rom Klao Road. Turn left to Sihaburanukit-Minburi Road . Turn Left to Serithai Road . End route at Bangkapi Bus No. 550 : SBIA – Happy Land Starting from Suvarnabhumi Airport . Go along On Nut – Lad Krabang Road . Turn right to Sri Nagarin Road . Turn left to Lad Prao Road and turn right to Happy Land Road . End route at Happy Land. Bus No. 551 : SBIA – Victory Monument (Expressway) Starting from Suvarnabhumi Airport . Go along special intercity road ( Bangkok – new Chonburi Road ) and Srirat Road . Then drive out the expressway to Rama IX, Asoke – Dindaeng Road , Ratchavidhi Road at Rama IX toll gate. End route at Victory Monument . Bus No. 552 : SBIA – On Nut Sky Train Station Starting from Suvarnabhumi Airport . Go along Bangna – Bangprakong Road . Turn right to Sukhumvit Road . End route at On Nut sky train station Bus No. 553 : SBIA – Samut Prakan Starting from Suvarnabhumi Airport . Turn left to Lad Krabang Road and turn left to Wat King Kaew Road . Turn right to Bangna – Bangprakong Road . Turn left to Sri Nagarin Road , turn right to Sukhumvit and turn left to Sai Luod Road . End route at Samut Prakan. Bus No. 554 : SBIA – Rangsit (Expressway) Starting from Suvarnabhumi Airport . Go along special intercity road ( Bangkok – new Chonburi Road ). Turn right to Outer-Ring Road (East). Turn left to Ram-Intra Road , Chaeng Wattana Road . Turn right to Vibhavadi Rangsit Road passing Don Muang Bangkok International Airport (BIA). End route at Rangsit. 2. Between Bangkok and major provincial spots (via SBIA) Bus No. 55 : Bangkok (Ekamai)– Bang Khla (Chacherngsao) Bus No. 9904 : Bangkok (Mochit) – Pattaya (Chonburi) Bus No. 9906 : Bangkok (Mochit) – Banchang - Rayong Bus No. 9907 : Bangkok (Mochit) – Chanthaburi Bus No. 9908 : Bangkok (Mochit) – Trat Bus No. 9909 : Bangkok (Mochit) – Laemchabang (Chonburi) Bus No. 9910 : Bangkok (Mochit) – Bangkhla (Chacherngsao) Bus No. 9916 : Bangkok (Mochit) – Khaohinsorn – Sa Kaew 3.
