PHNOM PENH (Khmer Times) – Former director of the prominent Beehive Radio station Mam Sonando held a people’s congress for the newly-formed Beehive Social Democratic Party (BSDP) to choose the group’s committee leaders ahead of the 2018 general election.

The congress of BSDP was held at the party’s headquarters in Kean Svay district, Kandal province, with about 300 attendees from various cities and other provinces.

The 73-year-old Mr. Sonando was chosen as president of the party.

Mr. Sonando told Khmer Times, “I have the full capacity to redevelop and form our nation, and I am optimistic that our party will win in the next election.”
