UN strongly approves Palestinian proposal to raise flag

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The U.N. General Assembly has overwhelmingly approved the Palestinians' proposal to raise their flag, along with that of the Holy See, at U.N. headquarters — a symbolic step in the Palestinians' pursuit of statehood.

Peter Dutton holds 'productive' talks in Cambodia over refugee resettlement


Immigration minister Peter Dutton spent his second day in Cambodia meeting the country’s top immigration official and holding “productive” talks with representatives from the International Organisation for Migration, who are resettling refugees previously detained on Nauru.

Judge rules trials in Freddie Gray case to stay in Baltimore

PHUKET: -- Emergency teams at Phuket International Airport staged a full-scale drill at 1am yesterday (Sept 10) by using a real Airbus 320 to simulate an aircraft crash landing in Phuket.

PHUKET: -- Two men were arrested by the Phuket narcotics suppression unit in Phuket Town on Tuesday (Sept 8) and Wednesday (Sept 9) when they were found to be in possession of crystal meth (ya ice).

Chinese couple held under suspicion of stealing 10-million baht diamond

PM invokes Section 44 to resolve aviation safety problem
