I have heard that Khao Lak have a mobile immigration office every wednesday. Is that true ?

According to a previous thread on here yes the poster says he used it not that long ago.

A new Immigration Office is nearing completion on the Police Boat Memorial Site in Bang Niang but local hoteliers and others have been advised that from today 29th October 2014 Thai Immigration will have a mobile unit in Khao Lak outside JAI Restaurant in Bang La On and every Wednesday from then on from 9am to 3pm. You can do 90 day reporting, register address and visa extensions and any other Enquiries regarding Visa. This will save the trip to Phang Nga.
