Bangkok,15 September 2015 (NNT) - Thailand’s Tourist Police launched the Augmented Reality (AR Code) Application ‘Thailand Tourist Trips and Tips AR Book’ on Monday at Suvarnabhumi Airport. The new Augmented Reality (AR Code) technology creates an all new tourism experience for foreign visitors to download on their smartphones.

Pol.Maj.Gen. Suprapone Arunsit, Commander of the Tourist Police Division says ‘ With this application, tourists can get basic Thai Culture Tips, and Thailand’s Do’s and Don’ts. While travelling in Thailand they can find information about places and location links to fascinating tourist destinations. 'Discover Thainess’ reveals 12 Cities Hidden Gems that are not to be missed. The application is a 3D cartoon model, with viewing in 360 degrees and is available in three languages: Thai, English and Chinese’.

‘Users can get the information they need from Tourist Police Stations across the country as well as the Call Center 1155 via this application. The application is expected to boost tourists' confidence in their safety when traveling around Thailand and to help create a good image of the nation’s tourism to become the Tourism Capital of Asia.’ adds Pol.Maj.Gen. I hope the Don'ts page warns about scams, like jet skis, taxis, jewelry shops and palace closed. But, it probably is a list of things that Thai netizens find "offensive", like sexy dancing at temples, fornication on the beaches and urinating in public while farang (as opposed to Thai, which is acceptable).
