Leaving the country while you have a 30 day under consideration stamp

Recommended Posts

I was wondering, when it is time for your yearly paper copy job to get another yearly extention, you bring in all the papers & photocopies

and they give you a "30 days consideration stamp" in your passport...

Can you travel abroad during that time ? If you get your re-entry stamp after you get your 30 days consideration ?

wifey claims NO, have to stay in country ?

Yes you can exit/enter during the consideration time with a re-entry permit. But it's a good idea to tell them your travel dates incase they want to do a home visit.

With all due respect your wife has no idea what she is talking about SHOW HERE THIS POST

As long as you have a reentry stamp you can go out during that 30 day period.

This is one problem in Thailand People just say things from the top of their head without any knowledge of the topic

And you may have no idea what's prompting his wife's view of things. She may be less concerned about the legalities and have ulterior motives for not wanting travel to take place.

""People just say things from the top of their head""

Indeed.

Actually, I'm inclined to think that too, except I don't limit it to just Thailand. A little more rampant here though.
