maidee
I was wondering, when it is time for your yearly paper copy job to get another yearly extention, you bring in all the papers & photocopies and they give you a "30 days consideration stamp" in your passport... Can you travel abroad during that time ? If you get your re-entry stamp after you get your 30 days consideration ? wifey claims NO, have to stay in country ? ubonjoe
You can get a re-entry permit for the under consideration period that will be valid for entry up to the report back date.

Yes you can exit/enter during the consideration time with a re-entry permit. But it's a good idea to tell them your travel dates incase they want to do a home visit. realenglish1
With all due respect your wife has no idea what she is talking about SHOW HERE THIS POST As long as you have a reentry stamp you can go out during that 30 day period. This is one problem in Thailand People just say things from the top of their head without any knowledge of the topic

She may be less concerned about the legalities and have ulterior motives for not wanting travel to take place. ""People just say things from the top of their head"" Indeed. ThaiWai
You can leave with a re-entry permit, I've done it, just be back before your "report to immigration date"

A little more rampant here though.
