Hi all, I work in UK in the oil sector,I work 2on 3 off,travel every month to Thailand to see my wife and daughter,I go to the UK on Sunday and need to apply for a visa at the London consulate,what do I need paperwork wise,how long does it take as I need to apply by post,appreciate any help guys,I have my passport ,earnings statement,application form ,two photos,self addressed envelope,plus marriage cert,back front ,book off the house wife's i d, her passport copy's ,do I need anything else,,,,thanks peter

You need a copy of your marriage certificate and it would help to have you child's birth also. Signed copies of your wife house book registry and ID card.

They do not ask for financial proof at the embassy in London.
