Document attestation

Featured Replies

I need to attest documents issued in Thailand for using abroad. I have been told that I need the attestation from the MFA of Thailand.

Since I am not in Thailand at present- does anyone know a company that deals with this things and that for a fee would attest my document in the Ministry of Foreign Afairs in Bangkok?

Thank you!

Where are you and which document(s) do you require attesting.

Who told you the document(s) required attestation by the MFA?

Sorry but I know of noone who will "attest" a document in the absence of the owner of that document.

I should've said you may need the documents authenticated by someone, somewhere before MFA will legalize them. U.S. Embassy has been my case recently.

No, IF you need legalization at the US embassy, you first get the MFA seal.

"U.S Consular Officers in Thailand may authenticate Thai public documents for use in the United States if the documents bear the seal of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Please bring the document to our office and we will provide this service."

But precisely what you need depends on the document and on what the party in a foreign country is demanding to see.

I never realized legalization and authentication were synonymous.

I need attested education certificate issued by a private thai school. I have nothing to do with usa embassy and I do not need it for USA. Please anyone know any lawyer or company that can do this job for me?

I am certain the legalization division of he MFA's consular affairs department can do it. They also certify translations.

I suggest you contact them.
