Apple withdraws some China apps after malware found

BEIJING (AP) — Apple Inc. has removed some applications from its App Store after developers in China were tricked into using software tools that added malicious code in an unusual security breach.

Bangkok's monkey population evicted to new homes in Ratchaburi wilderness

BANGKOK: -- The long standing conflict between hundreds of residents in Bangkok's Bang Kradi community of Bang Khun Thien district and some 400 macaque monkeys was partly resolved after national park and wildlife conservation authorities decided to force evacuate the animals to new homes in the wilderness of Ratchaburi province.

Woman, 91, accused of complicity in murder of 260,000 Jews

KIEL: -- A 91-YEAR-OLD woman who worked at Auschwitz has been accused of complicity in the murders of at least 260,000 Jews during World War II, the German news agency DPA says. The woman, who worked as a telegraph operator in Auschwitz, would be tried in a court for minors because she was under 21 at the time of alleged crimes, the agency said.

The last four days of the Koh Tao murder trial

KOH SAMUI: -- Today, with only four days of the Koh Tao murder trial left to go, officials from the Central Institute of Forensic Science (CFIS) will testify for the defense in the Samui Provincial Court. According to Pornthip Rojanasunan, director general of the CIFS, who testified last week, three CIFS members who took part in the process of DNA testing and physical examination of the defendants will take the stand. Two of the members are doctors, one is a laboratory technician.
