Some Pheu Thai members to join reform-steering council: Prawit

BANGKOK: -- Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan said Thursday that some Pheu Thai Party members have applied for seats in the new reform-steering council.

He said he could not disclose the names of the Pheu Thai politicians for now.

Prawit added that Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha had already eyed members of the new Constitution Drafting Committee but he did not know the names yet. Prawit said he would know the names when Prayut announces the list.

BANGKOK: -- Police are not definitely sure that the detained suspect, Adem Karadag, and the Erawan Shrine’s yellow-shirted bomber are the same man despite the suspect’s confession, said the national police chief, Pol Gen Somyot Poompunmuang, on Thursday.

Scottish man found hanged in Phuket hotel room
