Obtaining B Visa in Phnom Phen - Easy? Any experiences or advice to share?

Featured Replies

Hey guys and gals. I need to change my O Visa to a B Visa and was wondering about doing it in Phonm Phen. I feel like seeing somewhere different other than Laos.

I know I need a tourist visa first which then, with the right documentation obviously, can be changed to a B visa. My reasons for posting are simple really. I would like to know from TVF posters that have recently (in the last 6 months to a year say) been through this process at the Thai consulate in Phnom Phen.

I would like to hear about the expense and ease (or lack of) obtaining your visa. Are they stricter than Vientiane or Sawannaket. Was it a lengthy process or just drop off docs one day then pick up the next? Even your experience as a whole obtaining the visa at Phnom Phen would be good to know.

Thanks.

my Cambodian gf just got her Single non B in PP in August

used an agent, cost $99 took 3 working days u need all the same papers ( either the paper showing u have applied for the wp or the wp) as if applying for a extension in country (minus the photos of staff)

plus more

they will ONLY issue a single entry

The time to process the visa doesn`t seem to be an issue. Just wondering about the getting there .. would have to fly I suppose.

for sure the easiest way is to fly,

air asia

otherwise LONG bus ride :-)
