FDA: Thailand has removed drugs with Phenylpropanolamine from shelves since 2001


BANGKOK, 30 September 2015, (NNT) - Dr.Boonchai Somboonsook, Secretary-General of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has revealed all types of drugs containing Phenylpropanolamine (PPA) have been removed from shelves since 2001, dismissing a claim in an unidentified online source that the move was just undertaken.

Three Bangkok police officers facing arrest for allegedly extorting Japanese businessman


Three police officers were ordered arrest after they were accused by a Japanese businessman of extorting money from him.


The arrest came after the Japanese man, Kigushi Masato, 36, owner of an entertainment venue in Silom area, complained with Yannawa station police that he paid one million baht to three men whom claimed they are police officers.
