have 2 current residences which to use for 90 day report

Featured Replies

I signed a new lease for condo Sept 15 . I don't plan on fully moving out of my old place until November first. My office has someone do 90 day reporting for us. He will do it beginning of October. Which address should I use?

I want to try and avoid more hassles (when current place's security guards saw me moving big furniture pieces out so I have space to pack, condo office thought i was skipping out and called owner. Owner speaks little English so i wasted almost one hour getting them to understand I will give 30 days notice). New place may have filed reports on foreigner living there while old place would not have filed foreigner left yet until November 1..

[Edit]

Your current (not new) address.

Do a change of address after you move

  • If you're already living in the new address you'll need to do a change of address first if you want to report using that address.
  • If you haven't permanently moved yet there is no problem using the old address. Do the change of address after the 1st Nov and then report that address thereafter.

You use the address that immigration has on file.

When you move you must notify immigration of your new address.

You must fill out TM28 and the condo owner TM30.

The 90 days report is for the government to know where you live at the time of the report. They are not interested where you been or going to be
