Oklahoma orders stay of execution over drug error

OKLAHOMA: -- Convicted criminal Richard Glossip has been granted a stay of execution by Oklahoma’s governor due to uncertainty over the drugs to be used in the lethal injection.

Prison officials had received potassium acetate for use in his execution but state guidelines only list potassium chloride.

Glossip has been found guilty of hiring a hit man to murder a motel owner.

“The Governor has granted a stay of execution for Richard Eugene Glossip until next month. This will allow us time to review the current drug protocol, “ announced Director of Department of Corrections, Robert Patton.

Oklahoma’s drugs procedures have been under scrutiny since a flawed execution in April 2014.
That is when a prisoner struggled for 43 minutes before eventually dying, after an intravenous line had been improperly placed.

Why are you insulting baboons? The stupidity of the Oklahoma idiots and supporters like you is uncommon in the civilized world that abolished xeath penalty long ago. Worse, than that: Yes, he was convicted. It doesn't mean he did it. Read this http://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/richard-glossip-and-the-end-of-the-death-penalty. I haven't found a reliable statistic about the percentage of innocent convicts tortured to death by some States. My guess is 10%.

Your Jesus weeps.

Hmmm! You call him a bastard. I suggest you read the case history here. http://www.newyorker...-death-penalty

According to the BBC and Yahoo, there is absolutely no physical evidence against this man.

He was named by the person already convicted of the murder in exchange for a prison sentence instead of death penalty.

Another inmate has sworn that the actual killer had told him that he falsely stitched him up to avoid execution.

Do you really think this guilty verdict is safe?

Do you really he should be killed based on this evidence alone? (and there is no other evidence).

He would not even have been convicted on this feeble evidence in Europe as the convicted killer's statement against him would not have been permitted in court.

Justice????????? I'm glad I don't live in that country.

why don't they use heroin?

I admit it sounds callous, but if they want a humane way of execution, a heroin or morphine OD would be the best and most humane method.

"Hanging Judges", state attorneys who notch executions on their belts with sick pride, and massive prosecutorial misconduct going back decades. Nothing resembling "justice" whatsoever.
