Ros Phearun, a deputy director general of the financial industry department at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, said most of the 10 new casinos are in the coastal resort of Sihanoukville. “By the end of the third quarter of the year, we have 75 casinos operating in our country. In the third quarter, we licensed 10 new casinos. October 3, 201510 yr "...where the [gambling] industry is nearly nonexistent"? Now THAT reads like something from Thailand's retired National Police Chief! If Somyot gets his way with his plan to build a "sports complex", there is a good chance the [gambling] industry will stay nearly nonexistent in this part of Cambodia. Can't see Thai punters going all the way to Preah Sihanouk province when they could indulge in their favourite sport locally.
