Because technically the funds remitted to Thailand did not come from you. They came from your parents. Your UK dividend income remained in the UK. See above. You never remitted the dividend income. There's no income category for "my parents paying back an air ticket I bought for them". It is income tax. "Spending" is not assessable income. -

Tax deductions on car loans is a good idea.
I like the idea of it. It overwhelmingly applies to the lower and middle class who are burdened with high interest loans these days. It would benefit the automakers and any small businesses looking to expand their aged fleets. It could possibly make the fed less relevant as rates wouldn't matter as much.It would also help bury the idea of the new green EV ideal that is already wilting on the vines. I know it probably won't happen ans it is most likely just a campaign gimmick.Iwould rather discuss the policy itself than Trump. 90% of the USA depends on a car even if it is an UBER or bus. They could also put a cap on the price of the car involved. -

Some of it is because of low pollution control regulations on motor vehicles. Think California several decades ago. The problem is that adding pollution control costs money. I think they were trying to get rid of tuk tuks because they were one of the worst. Still see lots of them around so not sure what happened with that. -

Illegal land occupation
Yes, its amazing how they change their train of thought. I've been involved in 2 legal disputes in Thailand - one against an organisation and one against an individual. In both cases, the oppostion dug their heels right in - thinking I was bluffing. Maybe Thai's threaten court action regularly? I only ever do that when I know I'm in the right. On both occasions the other side quickly changed their mind and settled once they received a court summons. -
