Hundreds join cycling event for King and Princess

PHUKET, 3 October 2015 (NNT) – Approximately 300 cyclers have joined the cycling event as tribute to His Majesty the King and Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn.

A cycling event was launched at Sirinat National Park in Phuket to celebrate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 88th birthday and Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakra Sirindhorn’s 60th birthday.

The event, attended by about 300 cyclers along a 60 kilometre path in Phuket Province, also featured the donation of used bicycles for disadvantaged children in rural areas. This donation is part of the ‘Cycle for children, gift for the world’ cycling campaign held throughout Thailand.

The campaign started from 9 September 2015 and will conclude on 5 December 2015 with a combined cycling distance of 7,000 kilometres along 58 provinces.
