Young Thai 18 year old boy wants to study art (drawing, painting etc) possibly with a view to illustrating childrens books or teaching. Not academically brilliant, so university not an option. Anyone any idea of art colleges or schools in Thailand, preferably in the Isaan, but anywhere will do? Or failing that just how he might start off using his pretty fair skill as an artist. Grateful for any help.

Google "SATABAN" and once on it click on Thai School directory. Then search by keyword and/or category and/or radius. Categories will automatically appears once you type in the search form. Radius is located right to the "location search form"; wheel icone alike (default radius is set to 50 km I think).

If he already has good talent he could try Silapakorn University.

I guess he would need to have completed high school, but I'm not sure of the actual requirements. He will need to look at the site to check himself.
