A Question about Non-O Based Marriage

Featured Replies

I have Non-o Single Entry visa based on marriage. I'm planning to go immigration 3 months later for extension, and go again every 2 months for 1 year stay.

Question is, if i need official use that info, my residence count as 1 year or 3 months? Single entry visa is 3 months normally if im not wrong. If i stay 1 year with single entry visa and need to show 1 year residence is it ok? Or i need to get new single visa 3 months later or multi for show 1 year residence?

To begin with, you can just have ONE EXTENSION PER ENTRY on your VISA. Besides that agree with former poster, just google,,,, miljons of threads about this here.

I have had 12 extensions on my single non O visa

Are you asking about a one year extension of stay based upon marriage that requires financial proof of 400k baht in the bank or 40k baht income?

Or a 60 day extension to visit your wife that can only be applied for once per entry?

You don't need to show any residence.

  • Your non 'O' visa gives you one entry and a 90 day stay.
  • Towards the end of the 90 days you can apply for;
    • a 60 day extension of stay with no financial proof needed. At the end of 60 days you need to exit Thailand and get a new visa; or
    • a 1 year extension of stay. You need 400k in the bank for two months or a certified income of 40k pm. At the end of the year you can extend again for 1 year or exit Thailand and get a new visa; or
    • a 60 day extension followed by a 1 year extension.

If you want a visa that gives you 1 year without finical proof you can get a multiple entry non 'O' visa from Savannakhet, Laos.

  • Each stay is 90 days
  • Each stay extendable for 60 days (1,900 baht).
  • Exit every 90 or 150 days if using extensions.
  • A multiple entry visa can be utilised for up to 17 months before needing a new visa.

First, sorry about my english.

I got non-o single entry visa and im planning to do every 60days extend at chaeng wattana like i have done before my ed visa.

My question is not about getting visa or extension. My question is if i have single entry visa(3 months) , and i stay 1 year with this visa(with extensions) , and if i have to show that i live in thailand 1 year officially , is it okay?

Im asking because if have multi entry visa(1 year) and stay more than 1 year with extensions its counting only 1 year cos have 1 year visa.

Anybody know something about that?

Thanks for replies.

You cannot do this!

If married to a Thai you can apply for ONE 60 day extension.

You will then either have to........

1. Apply for a 12 month "extension of stay based on marriage".

OR

2. Leave the country and apply for another visa at a Thai Embassy/Consulate.
