jpduggan
I'm looking for some advise please. While at home in Ireland my passport went missing (lost). I've applied for a new passport and should have it in 2 weeks in time for my return trip. My predicament is that the lost visa had a retirement visa stamp in it which was due to expire around February 2016 and I'm now wondering what steps I have to take when I go back to Thailand to get my retirement stamp put in my new passport? Any advise much appreciated?
Maestro
You cannot get a visa in a lost passport replaced.
ubonjoe
Did you have a visa from an embassy or an extension of stay from immigration here. If a visa it it was lost with your passport. If an extension of stay you may be able to have it reinstated at immigration after you arrive here. You would need to be able to present a police report for the lost passport. I suggest try to get it a single entry non-o visa from the honorary Thai consulate in Dublin

Thanyaburi Mac
Another argument for copying your passport and the stamps now and then, printing out of saving on your HDD, handy to show to Thai Immigration when replacing stamps in a new passport. 2006 I had a passport go MIA, down to Immigration with my replacement passport (CRS if I also had the police report for them) and the printed copies, "retirement" extension stamps put in the new passport, no problem.
