People will be kept up-to-date, says Prayut
The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha said yesterday that he would continue delivering his message to people as it was necessary to keep them informed, especially during this period of reform.

"I will continue sending messages related to important matters that have an effect on society. From now until July 2017 [planned election], the country will be under reform and people should know what the government is doing during this critical period," he said.

His messages have been delivered to people through Government Spokesman Maj-General Sansern Kaewkamnerd over the past few days.

When asked why he did not deliver the messages himself, he said some necessary matters had to be officially announced.

Prayut also called on those who have different views to not just talk about conflicts but also address the root problems.

"I am not blaming anybody, but this is the time to work together under reform," he said.

" Work together under reform but for your own peace of mind and well being don't criticise or say anything I don't like. "

July 2017 ROTFL

I see the elections in Myanmar are going ahead as planned.

Chances are the current incumbents here may have one of the worlds leading lights in the fight for democracy to give them advice in the not too distant future!

Good luck to the Lady.

Yes, you did a wonderful job of keeping people informed about your secret plan to implement a single internet gateway for Thailand.

“I am not blaming anybody, but this is the time to work together under reform.”

Time to walk the talk!

Take three small steps for yourself, and one giant leap for the country.

Step 1. Amnesty where appropriate (the healing has to start).

Step 2. Engage your critics in true reconciliation (not just rhetoric and condemnation).

Step 3. Actually begin the reform process (don’t just talk about it, do it).

Then, leap towards democratic elections!

Problem is no one is listening. People already know what the reforms are all about.

Clean up the house in police, military, government, customs, tax, state owned enterprises - go hard with a lean thinking approach and minimize all waste- be sure to get into all the dirty corners. Fire all who has an in-active post with immediate effect and go through all official budgets with due diligence.

Scrap all unnecessary investments (submarines included) and all new official appointments are to be based on proper qualifications - not who you are or who you know. Taxes are to be collected from all and used for the common good. Make sure that the law of the land applies to everyone, no matter their shirt's color. Tomorrow start a complete reform of the education system where focus is on innovation and individual thinking. not memorizing core values.

If you do that, I will salute you general, and you will be remembered in history as the great man who turned the shipwreck around to a modern state. But for now all you have to show is a reduced price on lottery, which will hardly be remembered in 20 years.

The people will be kept uptodate on what the government wants them to know, and not what they need to know.

Lol he's not leaving in 2017. The master of incompetence won't leave until there's a recession so deep the elites pry him out. Thailand will never get a trade agreement with a western country with der fuhrer at the head. Manufacturing will move to Vietnam most likely after TPP and Thailand will only have the Chinese teet to suckle. Oh the humanity. Hopefully this period is studied by future children as a reason not to have a military strong enough to hold its own country hostage.

You have got into this habit with others about no one has the freedom of speech----ridiculous----those with a nasty intent they are pushing their luck---fair criticism has never been given heavy handed treatment ----unless your a PM hater.

Give it a break foreigners who want to put the knife in--------I have a stab now and again at the governments handling off issues---submarines--getting the corrupt police chiefs out----fair judge cases----so much to be done. I agree with some agranoying things but not make a habit of it for the sake of it.

If you think it is all B/S then your attitude does need adjusting. Some of it is not relevant to you some info is good. DON'T look ---switch channels if it is hurting you-------do you remember Yingluck on TV informing the people of the progress she was making ?? think about what you post.

Agree THE WORLD OVER.

Post was good apart from your last ridiculous sentence. do you actually believe in over 1 year that is all that has been achieved---it is a lie and that is not being unfair.

Be truthful---you mean all the negative ones, why not bash and cheer-------why just bash.

Another Gold Star for ginjag who has re-surfaced to point out there is freedom of speech just as long as we don't criticise his hero.

If all is so why good why does the PM regularly remind everyone not to criticise, threaten reporters, why is there AA and a military unit out in Isan villages to ensure the folks get the only acceptable message ?

I wonder who would listen to those tales???

A 1000 times other pm lovers as you call them have posted their dislikes about certain decisions by the PM. THESE ARE IGNORED because it suits your cause.

The 14 students? Pravit Rojanaphruk? The woman dragged into the taxi in Bangkok? The chap eating the sandwich with political intent? Puangthong Pawakapan? Unless of course your definition of constructive criticism is along the lines of 'You need to stay in power far longer' or 'You need to crack down harder'...

The head of the current administration is doing his utmost to keep us all up to date. The problem is the date is July 13, 1789.

No amnesties.

Start the healing by gaoling the corrupt and those who see power as the opportunity to loot the country.

Certainly would make feel healthier.

Pray list, in under 5 words or less, three "goods" and remove our blindness.
