ThaiHealth CEO ready to face investigation
The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Krissada Raungarreerat, chief executive officer of the embattled Thai Health Promotion Foundation, said on Facebook yesterday that he was ready to face the consequences of any probe, even dismissal.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha had ordered a probe into the agency for allegedly straying from its mission, and warned that its executives might be punished if mismanagement and misspending of its budget were found.

Krissada insisted that Thai Health's operations were transparent and had benefited the country.

If its work system was changed, its value could fade quickly, he said.

He said that many agencies accusing his foundation had misunderstood Thai Health's work and were taking a rather narrow-minded view of health-prevention measures, adding that his foundation was not given a chance to explain itself.

He urged his allies not to launch any protests, as he didn't want any more disunity in society.

Krissada Raungarreerat is guilty of not following traditional Thai health policies. He tried to be innovative.

I'm sure Prayut will cure him of that disease.
