Hi,

I'm a bit confused. Now I'm in Thailand with 3months Non-B visa. And thinking about to get a new one for 1 / 3 year non-B visa. However, if I read some conditions on Embassy website, it seems like 'To get 1 year Non-B visa', I need to show 'Work Permit'. Is that correct?

BUT, I'm not 'working' in Thailand, I only conduct business meeting and training our partner company in Thailand. I'm not hired by any TH company, I was just sent to here by my company in SG. As I had to fly to BKK so often for a biz trip before, my company just put me in a condo in BKK. (Much more saving $$ and time)

At any rate, I don't need WP, and I can't get WP.

1. In this case, without WP, I can't get 1year non B visa?

2. If so, let's say our partner company in TH hire me for paper work to give me WP, how about taxes? I'm already paying my income tax to Singapore. With WP, I need to pay tax to Thailand as well? (then that's dual taxation :-/ )

Thanks!

To get a work permit you would have to be working for a Thai registered company.

I don't you will need a work permit to get a multiple entry non-b visa under the business category. Getting a 3 year visa would almost be impossible.

Requirements for a non-b visa is here. http://www.mfa.go.th/main/en/services/4908/15388-Non-Immigrant-Visa-%22B%22-(for-Business-and.html

Pleas make further posts on your other topic. How can I extend non B visa for a year?

Closing this one. No need for two topics on the same subject.
