Great find - excellent animal surgical hospital in Miniburi area

I have added this to the pinned vets thread but wanted also to highlight it here.

A few weeks ago I found a large ugly tumor growing on my 13 year old dog's gums. I immediately took him to my local vet though suspecting he wouldn't be able to handle it, and glad that I did because through him I found this place which I would otherwise not have known...there aren't too many places in Thailand that can handle something of this sort. The main university hospitals of course but coming in from upcountry it would have meant several separate trips and a wait to get on the surgical schedule; and Thonburi Animal Hospital but mega expensive. This place was perfect - was able to do the pre-op blood work at my local vet and make a direct appointment for the surgery, gettying it all done in a day and they emailed me the biopsy results as well as personal call fro mthe vet.

Eastern Bangkok Veterinary Surgical center AKA Parichart Suwinthawong Animal Hospital

Kom Klao Soi 11

Minburi or Lat Krabang, not sure which but that area. You take 304 to Kom Klao and then turn left on soi 11.

tel 02-5576608-9

It is staffed by faculty from Kasetsart and Mahiodol Animal Hospitals/Vet faculty, very well equipped and has some specialist in staff including veterinary oncology, orthopedics etc. Dr. Wannasit there, who operated on my dog, was trained in the UK and speaks English very fluently, and understand Western expectations in terms of being fully informed etc.

As the vets there are on staff at the main government animal hospitals, in the event of anything they cannot do they can arrange for it to be done at Kasetsart e.g. really high tech things like radiation therapy. But I think most surgeries and the like they can do right there.

They do not have a webpage but are on facebook, as the facebook weblink is in Thai it doesn't paste well into here but google and you'll find it.

Highly recommend it.

I have had different experience with this hospital. About 5-6 years ago I treated my dog there and they pre estimated cost of the treatment at 6000 bath but actually when the treatment finished I had to pay about 11000 bath. I have heard a similar story from some of the people in that area. So I move to Suvarnachad Animal Hospital in Ramphanghen Road tel.02 729 5706-7 and I never regretted doing that. Service was excellent and it was half a price from the previous place where I treated the dog.
